Had guards chase me to a lift and dropped the bag on them by going up

Done it with 1 guard, several guards, locking on/not locking on, waiting by lift, sprinting ahead

One suggestion was to replay a Da Vinci Disappearance mission.

Yes, this is a Da Vinci Disappearance trophy. If you do not own the dlc, the trophy will not work.
