They could be; waaay heavier, BE way bigger, and with the 3x the life they have, also way more slower and hard to maneuver.
So if you make a tank track bot it will be more like a tank ready to be hit many times, but almost impossible to get out of a confrontation.

5000kg is almost weight of an entire aircraft
I strongly disagree, they are like the "beginner" movement type where you don't need to worry about how you place them.
Slowing them down makes for tedious gameplay as they will struggle reaching capture points in time on larger maps.
They already eat a lot of damage, no need to make them bulkier.
the trade off is more weight, for less mobility, more life, bigger size (easier to hit)
thats true...
maybe keeping the feature of hold down to run faster.
but is normal if they are slow, those are tank tracks
The way they are right now, they are very durable
If you're too slow to reach capture points in time, the bot, and by extension the movement part, is useless
Also, why make them heavier?
well... in other games with the same gamplay about capture points there are vehicles that can't just change its place as fast as others, thats why you should know what are you doing around the map
i love the thing, in this maps there are small hideout where bigger bots cant enter
thats something rc1 didnt have
what are you talking about
Must be some big bots you're imagining
Unless you make a bot the size of the garage bay, you'll fit everywhere
most of the bots i had fight couldnt reach me in some tunnels
probably the feldspar tunnels?
Tank tracks to fast... and hp of heavy cubes too low...

It's supposed to be a tank and not a racecar... The classes of the movement parts should be kept to what they are for and not try to make everything the same, heavy cubes should be on tank tracks that have the load-bearing capacity for them and not on a plane, for example... otherwise you'll end up with the same salami as with robocraft
i would say they actually need a buff to movement speed
first and foremost they need actual suspension so their power doesn't cut out on anything but completely flat surfaces
Currently they're almost too slow to make it to the next objective in time, but changes to the game mode are coming so we'll see how it is in 1.4
for sure. One map in particular has these annoying train tracks with small...podium platforms on them? Idk. My bot with tanks tracks had a hard time going over them
overall, wheels feels superior in every way
though combining both is cool to mitigate both of their issues
you can hold shift without a severe penalty to turning speed
and if wheels get blown off, you can always rely on tracks' high health
really? I heard half tracks sucked ass
this feels amazing to control
