#Vortex collection errors i have

collections have this problem of sometimes randomly not extracting the whole mod. it'll install a mod extract the folders but have no files, when installing a collection it will ask me to replace mods already on disk even though all mods are uninstalled and the mods are only being installed through collections so common knowledge would say i shouldn't be getting those popups and when they appear i get this feeling that something is messing up since its prompting me with what should be an automatic installation
on the latest beta version
also mods included in a collection aren't grouped in with a collection when sorting mods into groups by collection in vortex when they are uninstalled, also when installing collection updates and mods are updated or different from my profile it doesn't prompt me to disable or remove those mods that are removed from the collection between the two versions leading to leftovers that i have to manually remove and redeploy

also some mods when my collection installs them doesnt get bundled into the collection group for some reason

Any specific game? I've never seen this. Maybe the collection you installed had faulty data about that mod? It's technically possible to set Vortex to install a mod without any files if you do it wrong

those are the only two i installed collections on but it happens on both, when gts for skyrim gets an update i'll see if it happens on that too

also ive been letting my vortex sit for like an hour now and my collection has been stuck at 98% the entire time

okay i figured out the source of the 98% stuck bug.

when i install a collection instead of the collection installing the mods it gives me popups asking if i wanna replace mods already installed. obviously i click yes cause i need the mods installed, the mods that i click yes to get installed but they arent "in" the collection, they are treated as seperate mods despite the collection downloading them and prompting me to install them (it should've installed them itself without prompting me to begin with but whatever) so when the mods get installed the collection gets stuck at 98% because despite the mods being installed the collection installation process still thinks they are pending install as the mods technically not in the collection but they are in the collection and they are downloaded but like the collection for some reason wont treat installed mod as installed

i tried over and over, this is with the storywealth collection. its the same group of mods every time.

i dont think its a collection author issue im pretty sure its a vortex beta edgecase that this collection happens to trigger for these

as you can see the mods are installed but not grouped, the collection installation process doesnt think they are installed and wont manage them for some reason
