Grass cache help

I followed biggie boss's two videos for creating a grass cache now I would like to change my grass mod. I installed a new grass mod in mo2 and unchecked all the old mods pertaining to the grass cache and texgen xlodgen and dyndolod and the old grass mod. Now every time I try to run the game the landscape generates with no grass at all.

I have tried unchecking the grass control ini file in mo2 and running without that with no luck

I have also tried changing the grass control ini file setting the only generate grass from cache to false with no luck

Is there another file somewhere that I need to change to get grass to generate without a grass cache now that I have run a grass cache?

No I do not create mods. I will edit them as long as it can be done and ssedit but I typically only do this for conflicts in my own mod list that I've been working on for a little over a year now. Maybe one day I'll upload it
