#Getting the error when opening "Game" in external changes section
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Mod manager was installed on clean game instance, after the full nuke. No mods were installed before or after installing the manager. Tried the admin mode and reinstalling with PC restart. Nothing helped
Does anybody know anything about this< or I should just go back to Vortex?
It doesn't sound like a critical issue but if you provide logs we can be sure
Log files can be found by clicking the help icon at the top of the app and selecting "View App logs" as shown below.
-# Having problems? Read the full help page.
Well, I just nuked the whole game again
Now will reinstall the mod manager and check if it appears again
IDK which one I should upload so
here are all
And btw, reinstall of everything didn't help. The problem remains
Hmm this doesn't seem to be anything that would stop you modding, you can probably ignore the pop-up for now. We'll try and get it fixed in a future release, worst case you can't see what's inside the Game section for now.
That's the funny part, I can 😄
It just gives this error but then displays folders in it (Maybe it skips some folders and displays the content only partially, idk)
Also, you're right, it doesn't really interfere with the general functionality. Mods are being deployed normally and work in-game
The main reason for my concern was this thread: #1390928023540338698 message
We don't convert mods to REDmod, if that's what you need to know?
With the similar error, but also the inability to install mods without some strange moves with Vortex. But seems like these are different problems
Nah, I read that thread. Already know that
So, basically. This looks like the UX issue more than anything. So I'll ignore this I guess...
If you're trying to use Vortex and the app together on the same game install it's going to cause some problems
Yeah, we'll try and stop the error popping up and being a distraction
If there will be need for more details to recreate the issue, feel free to contact me. Either in this thread or in PM. I'll provide every detail I can
Thank you!
Your error message at least is logged to our servers (if you enabled analytics)
One question BTW. Don't want to flood this thread anymore but IDK where I can ask this. Is this section only for bug reports and support, or I can also post some suggestions here?
@mossy flint
You can make a thread for suggestions, but it's likely to get buried here. Do you have a GitHub account? If so, a GitHub ticket might be better place. If not I can probably copy/paste it over for you.
Can you just link me the GitHub page of the tool
I somehow expected it to be on the Nexus but... 😀
Found it
