#Modded Skyrim freezes loading into Dragonsreach after killing dragon

it doesn't generate a crash log, just stays frozen until I close Skyrim from Task Manager. I'm on AE 1.1170, could enter Dragonsreach fine before doing the quest where I kill the dragon.
LO and Plugins list if it helps, there are some nsfw mods there as a warning but most of it is sfw

recent mods I installed were just a bunch of mihail's monsters and corresponding valhalla patches so not even touching dragonsreach

hm looks like the problem is Glenmoril that's a shame ;/ wonder if its conflicting with JK's Skyrim, I don't have JK's interiors tho soooo

nevermind its back to freezing 😦 seems to happen half the time so far only when entering Dragonsreach
i wonder if its some mesh issue but idk how to check what, might try looking up the dragonsreach door refid in xedit to see what it pulls up, also idk if wrye bash would help me out here? https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/591

theres also this missing texture that i now have with the braziers after installing the embers and glenmoril patches for lux/lux orbis so yay pipbconfuse
edit: unticking the embers patch fixed this texture problem, not rlly sure why the patch ever removed the textures considering vortex shows that it only edits the campfires but eh. Now back onto the dragonsreach freezing

....i now have a freezing problem walking near Rorikstead ugh. This would be so much easier if it would crash instead so i would have a crashlog

Try checking your papyrus logs for something, it's worth a shot anyway

alrighty had a look, didnt notice any errors or abnormalities in the papyrus log at all it just showed my plugins and mods and then save file slot stuff and 'save done!' presumably from when I was playing today and was saving the game then quit. Looks like it only shows stuff for the latest playthrough because there was nothing for the freezing problems I've had yesterday

bugger, I'll have to keep trying to see if I can replicate that freeze tmr I only did a few more tests today walking between rorikstead and whiterun off the road but didnt test on the road

seeing as i have to end the game in task manager when it does these freezes tho no clue if papyrus will actually pick up any problem as the game won't close traditionally or through a crash

If it's something scripted, it might be in the log but then again it's a hard freeze so it might be something else, like GPU related

idk, i have a rtx 3070 and 16gb ram, monitoring my vram usage as well with Display Tweaks or Engine Fixes one of the two ingame and my vram goes to 4gb at most so it's not maxing out. My temps aren't so bad either it's 60s-70s and my thermal limit is 87c
Besides I have gotten hard freezes before with Fallout with a similar issue that appeared random but ended up being a weird mo2 extractor crash with the rare few times it would actually crash properly, so sometimes hard freezes can be weird like that

Though saying that, I was getting hard freezes too on my last install after about 20 minutes of play. I can't remember what it was that fixed it

I use 8192, not sure if you need that high

hm mine is set to that already it seems, want to raise it higher but it looks like the numbers (512, 20148__8192) are going by multiples of something so dont wanna set a value that's incorrect and wont read
