To help us diagnose and fix your issue as quickly as possible, we’ll need your log files. These files contain important details about what’s happening behind the scenes, allowing us to pinpoint the problem and find a solution.
Log files can be found by clicking the help icon at the top of the app and selecting "View App logs" as shown below.
-# Having problems? Read the full help page.
Grab a log file, maybe there's errors in there.
Yup, this works.
so what is the problem
@spice siren Would you know off the top of your head?
In the log we have
00:00:00.174 [ERROR] (NexusMods.StandardGameLocators.SteamLocator) While looking for games: Steam Library at D:/AMong us doesn't exist!
Is GameFinder erroring out on an invalid Steam Library and avoiding further search here?
I can go look at the code but I imagine you'd know what and where off the top of your head, so it'd be faster to ask.
@brisk flume What is the install path of your game?
I'm guessing they have an invalid library path in the Steam config and GameFinder is stopping search prematurely due to error. Or we don't handle the error right on the App side.
But I haven't looked at the code yet.
i intasl it on my hard second hird drive but the name where steam is instald is cald difrent
maby thats the problem
i dealeted steam and reinstald it and delete the app but its still seaching in the rong file wile the file is not there anymore
GameFinder should skip that library but continue searching other libraries if there are any
Hmm... how unusual.
so what can i do to fix it
I've pinged @spice siren in this case because they would know best in this situation.
ok cus it still looking for i file i deleted so i dont know how to fix that
@brisk flume check C:\Program Files\Steam\config\libraryfolders.vdf
does it contain all the correct libraries?
@spice siren it is the wrong file wher it is is in my d drive
in that config ther no li9barry file
ther is a libarry file but nog games int that drive
In Steam, top left corner go Steam -> Settings -> Storage and check what libraries you've added to Steam
The library where you've installed the game to needs to be accessible in Steam
@spice siren its the d drive
not the c
@spice siren im moving stardew now to the c drive
but still doenst work
did you restart the app?
jep
can you post the latest logs?
@spice siren her is the latest log
what can be the problem @spice siren
@brisk flume Apologies for the delay, it's been a national holiday in most of Europe over the weekend. We'll see if @spice siren can take a look soon!
I fix it with the vortex app
