#New Vegas Archive Invalidation on Mod Organizer 2

I'm new to modding New Vegas (or current forms of modding in general) and I'm having a very difficult time figuring out how to get archive invalidation to work.
When I try to run a mod install for a texture pack, it won't confirm that Archive Invalidation is working - even though it is selected in Mod Organizer 2.

Any advice, suggestions, or general help would be greatly appreciated!

install it manually to Fallout NV's data folder and run the .exe of this mod. If there's an warning about fallout_default.ini then point it to the .ini that should be in your Fallout NV Root folder (where all the game's .exe are) and then just activate it. If the warning doesn't show up you will have to move this mod's exe to another location and try again (without the warning it won't work) and if it works this time, activate it and move the mod's .exe back to Fallout NV's data folder.
