#BG3: Vortex is throwing weird errors for me.

Have you Tried Purging the Vortex Program? Its a button on the top of the program. It wont erase anything but it will allow the program to recompile the list order which can help troubleshoot.
Click / Mods, in the left Pane, Then Click the Purge Mods on the yellow banner next to Deploy Mods. Then close the Program and reopen, Then Click the / Deploy Mods

I have different concern, if you can help. I installed Vortex and only 2 bg3 mods to try: the BG3 Mod Fixer and Tav's hair salon. But when I launch the game I get this error.
I click new game, then Balanced, and then this appears over the beginning cut scene:
"We were unable to create a working story. Your add-on setup might be invalid. The game will continue with the story from the main adventure."
What does this mean? Is it broken?
How do I get my add-on setup to be valid?
Im looking into it now, I will try to replicate the same mod setup now.
It might be a BG3 problem not a vortex problem, still not sure. I've added some other mods like the popular one for UI, and I get the same error. It does seem to let me play the game as otherwise normal.
Ok I see the problem, In the download section of Tav's Hair Salon it states also in the user posts that you need (BG3ModManager)
Some users stated that they needed to start the game through the BG3 Mod Manager for the game to start properly
The Mod Manager is in addition to the Mod Fixer
Mod Manager Setup : Installation
Download BG3ModManager_Latest.zip and extract it to a folder with sufficient permissions for your user account (don't put it in the Program FIles folder, or a protected user folder).
Important
Make sure you have the path to the "Game Data" folder set in the Settings -> Preferences window. Always restart the mod manager after changing this path.
This is required to load the campaign data (exporting your load order with no Campaign selected will cause issues).
After arranging your load order, click the "Export to Game" button to write your load order to modsettings.lsx.
Load order changes require a game restart.
I hope this Helps, but this seems to be the answer to your issue. Happy Holidays 🙂 Let me know if your able to resolve your BG3 load issue.
