Making a thread for me to be autistic in because I spend way too much time thinking about and playing mahjong to not talk about it everywhere I go

I got introduced to mahjong via the Yakuza games but now I mainly play online in Riichi City!

I played a little bit of Mahjong Soul but entirely switched to Amatsuki Mahjong now that they have Sichuan mode

So I'm familiar with Japanese, Taiwanese, Sichuan, and Filipino mahjong rules

Hong Kong rules I sort of get but I find it more difficult than Japanese because of the minimum required score to win

Got myself two physical sets of tiles as well (miniature Chinese tiles and standard Japanese tiles)

Fortunately/tragically I'm a big sucker for "game within a game" so mahjong is a minigame that exists in my main D&D campaign

And for that I have house rules that are mostly based off Taiwanese mahjong

Which I call LCG mahjong (La Ciudad Grande is the name of my setting)

My discord profile pic is actually an OC who ended up being a sort of "mahjong-sona" (I got this artwork to use for a couple of streams)

She's just a modern day office worker who plays mahjong as a hobby...

Mahjong video games have existed for decades

Most people only know about the solitaire version

I mainly play riichi city, which is online multiplayer japanese mahjong
