tbh 2 shroom ultra can land without hitting the inner wall so it's quite fast even without doing anything fancy (I never tested the time it would get though)

i am fairly certain at this point given the requirement of road and the need for the bottom of the vehicle to be aligned with said road that it is some sort of suspension abuse that causes rapid EV gain but i cannot even find patterns between suspension and slack among vehicles that have been used on rDKM
can rdkm only be performed with standard bike m btw?
i don't know how it would be helpful beyond confirming it is suspension that does it
no i don't know the exact vehicle list but it has also been done with standard bike S and mach bike and could likely be done to varying levels of success with quite a few others
standard bike M is currently the best known vehicle for it

they get mashed upwards into the vehicle body very dramatically, this is the case for both TF and rDKM (though sometimes with rDKM the opposite happens, depending on how you land)
you just try it and see if you get more EV than you did before or if it's trash
hopefully as more vehicles are tested you get closer to a pattern but there's not really a guarantee at the moment

as long as you reach the proper EV limit and are decently sure it can't go higher with a difference in technique
the EV limit is directly correlated with the rate of EV gain
you do need to take care to make sure your technique is actually optimal but it's not like we need an estimate rounded to 1, even something to the nearest 50 would be fine
i will say i'm not hopeful we will ever find a pattern because i tried the same thing with reject road velocity stacking and got fucking nowhere besides confirming that wario bike is the best
but it would be cool if i was wrong

those differences will not track on every vehicle and if we have to change it to account for that it's not any more helpful than just trying it out properly
i think rDKM will almost certainly give more consistent results but it is also the more annoying one to test to begin with because you can't simply moonjump out of bounds and start doing it for free

i updated scripts and it still simply takes the magnitude of the IV vector, that's the same issue i was referring to
i'm modifying the framedump and infodisplay to record the engine speed scalar instead
negative IV is an important detail for me to display
also for some reason these values were inaccessible in the infodisplay despite being recorded already, not sure why that was exactly

You can’t simply start falling faster without assistance from a downward wall (that does not exist) so after a point more EV will be detrimental
