In my opinion they do release costumes in a decent pace. Although the costumes are not really my type, but that's not a big problem.

Not sure how often KR gave out reskin tickets, but we got at least one from the event with the animal skins

I've studied this kind of stuff before on a semi-academic level with a former professor of mine, and bots are easier to ban than you'd think.

The issue comes from more a managerial level. People who don't know the game will assume more numbers equates to more success and, hence, they do little about it. I heard that Slimegate/ASGs actually boasted about this very fact, while being completely ignorant (or not disclosing their awareness) of the fact that many of their reported users are bots.

Now, in the case of NAW, where bots are actively preventing people from playing, I don't understand how that helps them exactly. If that happened, I would try to file a chargeback (if that's possible through Steam) and be on my way. Perhaps others are more desperate to find a good game.

I grinded my main to logging 30 thanks to the help of bots. To clarify, I didn't control the bots, I just followed a couple around and logged where it logged and when it went to repair their tools, I repaired mine. This allowed me to observe how they act on the visible level.

Much of what botters do is determined with one goal in mind: do a pre-designated task as time and/or resource-efficiently as possible. The means they chose to do so is dependent on the creativity of the player. For example, I used my horse more often than the bot did as means of getting to the tree first. I also used swiftness gear and a deathblade class to go faster than the bot at shorter distances. Botters could do the very same things, but they aren't smart enough to think in that manner, which limits your argument. Have you ever noticed how many bots follow similar behavioural patterns? Well there you have it.

I've never bothered spending my time doing this, but I imagine many users just have simple bot scripts, which means less people are actually working on these "loopholes" than you think.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, but if you're talking about games in general, that's just not true. Hypixel, a multiplayer server for the video game, Minecraft, has a phenomenal anti-cheat system that bans cheaters from variety of different angles. Roblox, an engine that allows users to create their own games, has many games that have very good anti-cheat systems in place.

It is true that, based on the limited knowledge I have, that it is possible to make a bot that's indistinguishable from a human, though I have yet to see such a thing. I've seen a small handful of AI bots on Old School Runescape, but the thing is those bots are optimized beyond what any human could possibly do.

A primitive solution to the aforementioned is to set random "cripples," but that's also easily bannable, because computational pseudorandomness is nothing like real human input.

To study real human input, that takes a lot of resources that no normal person has. These people, mostly computer scientists with phds, wouldn't bother wasting their time with a video game like OSRS or Lost Ark even. It's just beneath them.

So, yes, it is almost entirely business oriented. Big numbers = more success to investors. It also makes a breeding ground for whales.

Even G2G gamers benefit businesses at the end of the day.

As for the Hypixel bot problem it's been about 2-3 years since I've got on, so I don't know the context. I do know duels is a new gamemode of theirs, as I haven't seen it since I stopped playing.

Based on the first thing that shows up in my results, it seems that they simply aren't tackling that issue on the technical level. They're just telling their users, "Hey guys, YOU can help US!" Sounds like they are trying to be cheap and hope that the gamemode is inactive enough for it to suffice with user reports.
