and want the best possible view of what you're looking at since youre are selecting something
same reason why the preview of neria shop items is in full res 4k for me as well
even if the fking preview would run in 5 fps
you still need higher res over fps there
also they know which gpu you run and which base res your game runs at, even if they would take 1/4 res I would still have 1080p and not 260p
I remember this low res shimmering from low quality VR game visuals and its sickness inducing doesnt matter if its in a 2d background or in the game as preview window

well I'm hardly a dev, but when you open up the shop you're loading up a different instance (which is why you usually get a bunch of lag before it comes up) so it's a bit different. while when you open up skin storage you're still using the same game UI with the primary purpose of browsing/organizing skins. so they probably need to make a tradeoff between preserving performance while having some preview functionality, and adding resolution to the preview but potentially harming the UI performance.

and you always could give options if causes issues with this being default setting

the point is that they use explosion or similar spells
so they dont have globals to even be able to use squall even if it was at high level to dump mana if they run it
and if they run it its low rank since they need the points on their last dmg spell
only if you drop the last dmg spell you can have rank 10+ squall
and the free globals to use it to dump mana at all times
instead of last dmg spell you got cdr gem on wave and squall to spam to dump mana
which works great try it out
you also need 1 less dmg gem this way for same dps

and with this setup I have 13m dps running 1 less dmg gem and have 2 counters instead of 0
sounds good to me
unless you need the destruction of explosion, its just a fking hassle to play with the knockback and you need extra dmg gem for .. 1.5-2% dps?
