Hi I just pushed my main to ilvl 1370, but im not sure what to do with the gear progression afterwards. watched a few videos and most of them told me to collect materials from both abyss dungeon hard and argos, then craft 2 piece argos set and 3 piece abyss set. wondering if this is still the most optimal way of doing it?

you have the option to pay for a bus to argos p3 and craft 3 argos 3 abyss, but otherwise this is the right way to do it

Yeah, that’s the idea is to use the punika power pass on a character then express event it.

at that point you will use knowledge transfer (unless the game still gives out vern powerpasses) for your alts. you can use the hyperexpress to skyrocket straight to 1370

basically 1- create your main char, keep playing until lv50 and clearing North Vern, you get 1 powerpass for free to get another char to north vern 2- use that pass on an alt you want, you get a 2nd power pass to north vern, you have 3 chars now 3- funnel the mats you get on your alts to your main so you progress faster, same for tier 2 4- get to 1302 and finish ALL purple quests and you get a powerpass for punika, making your 4th alt at 1302 instantly 5- use express event on your main and continue to progress, you should have at the very least 2 chars at t3 and 2 and t2 or 1
Tiers: Tier 1-302>600 / Tier 2-802>1100 / Tier 3-1302+

Even if that's the case, it's only +1 Uncommon card in Fearless Knight, but -6 Epic cards, giving an average higher chance of good cards (probably, assuming the difference between rarity tiers isn't massive).
And if it's equal chance of all cards then Fearless Knight is better due to less total cards, so seems better in general.
