T2 is expensive i just used a mixed of a bunch of boxed mats i had from login rewards etc + buying tier 2 shard pouches and stones and it cost me like 15-20k gold to get my fresh char to 1100 item level after knowledge transfer

Don’t buy any accessories until you hit 1370. Just run surge lvl 3 until then by using your engraving books or something.

Once you hit 1370, do your abyssals and buy a bus for p3 Argos to hopefully get some acc you can use with surge 3 on them and spec. Then it’ll be very easy to get 3x3 engravings.

Just fuse them up. For surge, all you really need is a dmg gem on your surge skill. Shoot for level 5, then level 7 eventually.

Since gems aren’t character bound, you can freely trade them between characters. So having multiple t3 alts will greatly increase the number of gems you’ll get.

Once you get a level 5 gem, you can sell it for like 600-700g (in my region at least) and buy a surge dmg gem if it doesn’t fuse up to the skill you want. It’ll cost more gold to buy then you’ll make from selling, but it’s better than spending tons of silver trying to maybe reroll.

I don't think upgrade level affects it (i.e: same price for +16 as +17). But there is a higher price between rarity/base-level tiers.
For example: transferring to 1340-base Argos gear from 1302-base (Chaos Dungeon or Oreha Epic set) gear costs like 120k silver or so. But transferring from 1 Argos piece to another is only like 20k silver or so.
