I generally don't like that kind of content, so I'd prefer to just matchmaker gate 1 normal if it gets me everything there is to get, even if it's slow. I've be doing that with Argos and it worked out fine. But if there's something I really need hard mode for then I want to know. The abyss dungeons for example, you need to run hard mode to get the chosen weapon.

If you're not in the game it's not gonna use a lot of RAM. RAM usage will go up when you load a lot of assets. However, if you have 16GB of RAM you will not have a problem with that for years to come. Unless you do something weird, like rendering videos at the same time.
