yeah grudge is bad if you're just starting out the game, because you are just getting used to the fights, the controls etc, its more detrimental, however if you start with grudge sooner rather than later you get used to what damage/hits you can take without dying and get better at dodging, or so i think, personally

Yeah. As mentioned many times, all classes are capable of high damage, and playing your class well is important. But that doesn't mean they're all the same. Put the average player behind a Sorc and then behind a Wardancer, and they're very likely to put out more damage with the sorc.
