yeah you choose 16-18 tripods of all of your skills mainly for the ones you use for single target/raid combat then you equip them in one of the 18 slots on your armor (6 pieces each got 3 free slots)

and you just keep getting them all and then the lvl2 versions lvl3 then in the end lvl4

to get the lvl5 tripods effect in the "K" skill menu

just inspect literally anyone in game and hover over their gear and you'll see

Basically, tripods are the things that modify your skills. (Some mechanically, most numerically.)

Tripod levels make that modification slightly stronger (more increases crit damage, etc etc.)
There are VERY few builds that actually require specific tripod levels (3 spender rotation deathblow is the only one I can think of), and generally they'll just make that specific skill a bit stronger

you are basically just upgrading the choices you took on your skills, you can see it says lvl4 and lvl3 for the ones i chose and the ones i didnt is lvl1 thats the default thats why the max you can get on gear is lvl4 @maiden locust

default behaviour should be it dismantles equal level tripods
more accurately, the game doesn't mark equal or lower level tripods as tracked so it dismantles that gear, you can change what exactly is marked as tracked in game options

I know I wanna play both, but I want to focus on one primarily while I learn the game. Any thoughts on which is better for a newer player still learning the basics? I’d like to progress onto endgame content at some point, but want to fully understand the game and such before I do so. So, which would be best for me?

Problem is, I have no idea which I enjoy more 😂 both have their strengths. I enjoy paladins simplistic play style, but find it can be a bit repetitive. I also enjoy having to make on the fly decisions on bard, and being able to actually heal on demand with my bubbles. Both are fun, but I will say paladin requires ALOT more setup with Engravings ETC compared to bard which is a bit of a turn off for me

it's not that much more. starter engravings for bard are class, awakening, heavy armor. for paladin it's class, awakening, expert. it is true that expert is going to be costlier than heavy armor, but you can use a 333 engraving setup for a long time and at this point those are pretty cheap no matter what engravings you go for

edit: the "starter engravings" are for ilvl 1370 and up. below that, just have your class engraving and you're good for the most part

Stats aren't "synced" they are just scaled down. The content is normalized meaning all players are put at appropriate level for both ilvl, stats and not even set effects work in challenge guardians

It just takes your stats and like reduce it to w/e the max cap is set at for that content. So if if you have 500 spec, 1500 swift and the cap is 1000 stats you'd have 250 and 750 instead or w/e, maths

But you really should invest in the 333 I mentioned above with 6/6 stone and accessories because if you want to get accepted into Argos groups, especially P3, you are never getting accepted without HA3 at i1370. For P1 people might just accept you because you are Bard and not even look that carefully but those that do most likely will deny you entry because P1 is so easy without support anyway

Not to my knowledge. You're ofc limited to the amount of stats you can obtain with relic accessories but that gets pushed further when ancient accessories arrives. I haven't seen anyone talk about a cap on cdr
