How does archeological site maps work? I crafted 3 so far and all 3 said not in this area, so I'm guessing it's rng on crafting one that does show the location?

they work similarly to finding other kinds of secret maps but you need to have excavating tools equipped to loot the chest at the end and they are one person only

it should say which particular "map" it is in within the zone and you need to identify where from the shape and it tells you how many steps when youa re close enough and map is open

if it says "not in this area" that means you are not in the right area/map within the continent/zone

have you used non-archaeology secret maps?

The tiger has 10s, but also has longer distance.
I guess it all depends on if the cloud has standard dash distance or not.

min bid and buyout
min bid is at what price starts auction and if in 3 days max nobody bids it person who gave the most over minimum gets item
buyout is what gold someone can give you and get item right away

the materials from an excavating map are not bound but it is not the same type of materials as a normal treasure map. you get relics, breaths, and a chance of a craft kit. also they are 1 person only

i am not sure whether crafting excavating maps is profitable or not. if they are, a lot of the value would likely come from the chance of toolkit drops. it would also depend on the cost of breaths which is a major component of what they can give. the drops are primarily excavating materials (relics), breaths, and a chance of toolkit drop

some people claim adaptation does not matter much, or only affects the chance of an S or SS misssion. i would think you should get better rewards on average even if it just affects the chance of S/SS mission success though, because S/SS mission success definitely results in more seals/rewards

it is not easy to find offical information on the effect of adaptation though

S/SS is like around double the normal rewards, assuming you convert the extra resource to 12x seals.
So increasing that chance would seem worth it.

I do unas on everyone ( triple leapstones ) and all other 1325 alts do lopang

i thought this as well initially but i think the correct way to calculate is like this. I take 2 days off from chaos dungeon. I accumulate 40 rest. On day 3, i complete 2 chaos dungeons with full rest bonus, dropping rest to 0. For each chaos dungeon, i get double rewards, so i have received 2 days of rewards. Hence, over the 3 day period, i played once (1/3 of time) and obtained 2 days worth of rewards (2/3 rewards)
