There are very, very strong rewards for joining a guild. The guild shop gives leaps, gleaps, honing mats, boss rush, cube, silver, etc. each week. I would highly suggest joining a guild. Careful about guild hopping since it’ll start locking you out of joining for like 24 hours and more.

Theres the guild shop which is helpful (not great though), and eventually there is some like guild vs guild type events. Also guilds can be helpful if you're trying to find a static raid group. They most certainly are not necessary though to progress. As for switching guilds though, once you leave/are kicked from a guild, you end up with a leaver penalty preventing you from joining other guilds for a time period (which goes up each time you leave)

If you just started a new character, yes, you have to progress the story till you talk to Seria and learn how to play your instrument. Then you unlock the stronghold song again.

Guild shops give you some crystals that can be used for mats and a chance to get Cube or Boss rush tickets.

If you leave a guild you get 2d, 7d, 14d, then 30d leave penalty and cannot join another one until then. (Not exact days but around that). I reached 32d so I stayed in that guild for 32d and it reset back to 2d.

If the boss glows blue while attacking, it can be countered. If you successfully counter the boss though, it being counter-able will go on cooldown and even if the boss does the same attack, it won't be glowing blue.

Not really. If you check at the bottom of the store page it shows you the rate of card packs and they're not great. And with crystals going up in price, better just to save them for any other crystal skins or maybe a month of crystaline aura.

Yes, the engraving says the additional defense is immune. So only the bonus defense given by the engraving is immune to defense down, but your standard defense is still reduced. So if say you have HA3, you have 100 defense, and now 100 bonus defense due to the engraving for a total of 200 defense. If you get hit by a -50% defense debuff, you'll have 50 natural defense, and still 100 bonus defense still giving you 150 defense.

it just slows down your progression to 1385. what I did on an alt was just craft chosen weapon, then slowly gear up 5 piece argos. This way I save that oreha's emporean and spent it on rolling accessories instead. Since in the long term, you will end up replacign those chosen armor pieces with harsh/preordained argos pieces for the 5 set

This will greatly vary and I would double check. But generally you get the most % increase (if these are the only boosters you have) from the Solar Graces. But they are also the cheapest to buy so that has to be a factor. Generally it's the choice between solar graces and solar protections depending on what you already have but this is very server/user specfic.
