Whatever you think will be fun to play. There are too many considerations... Benefits of picking the same class as your main is you can share engravings and items (kind of...). If you pick a support, know that it's going to be slower doing the main quest than if you pick a dps. But really it's any class you are interesting in

5 dps 1 support is what I would go for personally paladin preemptive strike judgement is really good for clearing non boss content and cheap classes are shadow hunter and mayhem zerker but the only reason mayhem is cheap is because of green pots (it's getting nerfed) and shadow hunter needs 2 gems only but feels bad to play until 1370+

Bard is good, but having both a bard and paladin at 1340 and 1370 respectively, Paladin just does everything that Bard does but a bit better while being tankier. Gunslingers are fun but like Xiinc said, not a great alt, but not awful

So best bet is just asking area chat, or ctrl+right click the item->Auction House Market Value. dry hone your armor until youre like 80% ish, and you can check at the top if you fail how much artisian you get

lets say you get 15%, meaning post fail you have 95% artisian

at this point, just use ur honing boost mats to hit 100% wihtout having to hone again

Nah. Estoque is more than enough for everything. Astray is only if you like the speed since it breaks quite easily. It’s hella fast though. Arthentine to Punika in about 5 mins

Having t3 alts will juice your gems. I pump out at least one level 7 a week now. So getting full lvl 5+ isn’t too hard later on.

yeah then if you plan to stay on striker just level 5 it all. If you want to switch main then yeah might consider waiting, I usually auto combine to level 4 and save the gem

Rerolling gems is a road to being in silver shambles. I reroll lvl 7 gems until it’s at least meh, then I sell or use to buy the one I need.

Once you start pushing your main and especially multiple alts, yeah. But after the express event, I’ve been chilling on silver. Rerolling gems is a low chance of getting what you want. Think it’s like 90k per roll for me.
