You can transfer a new character the Vern knowledge, you get 302 gear instantly, after 8h process is done, of course. Then if you want to do Rohendel next, you will need to get 460 item level by yourself, to only complete main quest story line, same happens with Yorn, Feiton and Punika, they do not give equipment.
