it depends on how many honing materials you get and how fast you want to progress. If you spend real money/do infinite chaos dungeon/play tons of pvp then you will have a lot of honing materials and a lack of silver, so you will necessarily need at least one alt for silver generation. If you don't do these things then you will have enough silver untill you are like 1415 by playing just one character, without even doing lopang. If you want a faster progress long term and have enough time then you certainly need alts though. As soon as possible I guess
