Best method in my opinion is: Kill big groups of monsters, kill 7 elites + boss on floor 2, if there is big group of trash left after boss dies on floor 2, you can kill that if you feel its time efficient, then go to floor 3. Whether or not its 'technically better' to go to floor 3 sooner or later doesn't seem to matter, because elites drop more loot than trash but also give more %

If you have the 1385 honing buff on main, then 1340 on alts is easy. 1370 is still a large investment.
