You buy those in packs of 10. A pack of 10 sold for 32g this pack weekend, now it is 17g. If you need gold front-load that farming right now before your revenues of gold dry up.

you can buy those materials on every single character ( they are roster bound, except the shard pouches) so you can really boost your characters very quickly if you have a lot of alts and a lot of pirate coins, but your ship upgrades will suffer so if you're ok with sailing slow and want to progress your characters faster, then by all means buy everything each character each week until you're dry on coins. ( again just make sure not to buy pouches on chars that don't need them, they are bound)

Does the cost to repair go up with quality? Also tool repair kits seem relatively cheap to restore durability but how many are needed to restore a relic tool from 0-100 for instance? You can somewhat get by using heavy armor 3 but then your already poor damage due to attacks being blocked gets even worse, so I don't recommend doing it with a full party under ilvl

Supports can get carried somewhat since they aren't relied on for damage
