Basically there 2 reasons of why you should do chaos alone unless you can't
1.speed : monsters will have lowers health if you're alone
2.More loots : As soon as the portal open, take it, focusing the elites first, getting to 99% on the third floor and kill the elite for more rewards.
for 2, in a group, there more chances of people still killing monsters as the portal open

no, you can't get to 99% in the second floor.
The strategy is first floor, go as soon as the portal open ( usually 16-17% )
Second floor, focus all elites,kill them, kill a few normal monsters, big boss spawn, kill it > portal
Last floor, kill everything until you're in the 90% try to get it to 99% until the next crystal pops attack it >focus elite only
You don't really need to do the last floor thing it's too much trouble for minimal rewards but it's better to know it rather than not

Random can't screw you like that, ending the raid and claiming the rewards are separate prompts. You can kill the boss and just not claim loot. So you could help your friends and then later do a raid that you actually plan to claim the loot from.
