I have a rather simple question about engravings and how they equip? I am a deadeye and have master of ambush at +3 and enhanced weapons at +1. I however have also put in 20 uncommon books of Adrenaline + 20 uncommon books of Spirit Absorption but I do not see either of these engravings under my "engravings" tab when I view character info view "P". I know +20 only gives +3 nodes but shouldnt I be able to at least see these engravings under my "engravings" tab yet they are nowhere to be found unless I search via alt+i .

so you understand that every + of an engraving adds to 3 lvls. the engravings you are reading a book for changes the + bonus value it applies when you eqp it. so if you've read 20 blue books X engraving when equipped gives a value of +6 towards the engraving. you only get the lvl benefit of an engraving in increments of 5.

They are different. Destruction skills are also known as weak point skills. Used for breaking parts of the monster such as the guardian raid turtle thing.
Stagger skills are what u use when the boss has a yellow bar indicating u need to stagger them. (Some bosses have hidden stagger bars).

there's nothing wrong with struggling to learn something. what i'm saying is that it's more worth it to focus on the basics of the game than to focus on minmaxing your build. realistically, if you actually focus less on that, you'll improve more (because it will be more difficult). i'm not saying you can't, that's just my personal opinion on it. the minmax for shadowhunter is to play the perfect suppression build (which is harder to play) until you hit tier 3 and can get enough specialization, tripods, and runes to transform in one rotation of abilities, then you swap to DI to maximize your potential later
