Knowledge Transfer in a nutshell:
There are 2 types of completions, KT completion, and everything else. To do a KT completion, you need a non KT beforehand (manual or pass)

You have 1 manual and 2 passes to begin with, so that nets you 3 KTs to Vern. After that, you need to switch between manual and KT.

you still only have 2 entries into chaos dungeon. skipping 2 chaos dailies (100 aura) gives you 20 energy. you run your regular daily, for total around 66% of the rewards. rest gives you x2 drop, so you get 4/6 of the runs out of 3 days.

thats a harder question to answer. solo is good if you want to optimize your killing and pathing. and also matchmaking takes longer to enter and exit. but with matchmaking you can turn off your brain. solo = if you want to optimize your time properly and can clear efficiently
