mainly just do your dailies. If you want extra, weekly buy the mats from the boat dock in each continent, and buy it from Guild NPC.
If your main is already in T2, you can upgrade in stronghold to make upgrading in T1 cheaper

it's hard to see if a character is worth playing early on, because the potential doesn't show itself in T1 and T2 content. Once they get their proper runes and engravings, then the classes show their full strength. I've had tons of highs and lows with Shadowhunter, but after T3, it just keeps getting better, and I feel the most comfortable here.

You would have to consider what kind of content you will want to repeat the most, if it's big bosses you can stick with tanky stuff, but for chaos dungeos you might not be as mobile and nimble, so it will feel more of a chore.

It makes sense but cards aren't a common resource at all and upgrading sets gives you bonus damage and resistance anyway. You get a lot of card exp to upgrade the set you need but nit enough to upgrade the passive that come with other sets so the choice is yours

you don't just press facet by random. You will want to get the best odds out of the highest possible success rate. You do not want to facet the engraving below 50% success rate. If you see it's below 50%, go down and spec the negative effect to raise the success chance. Still rng at the end of the day, but it yields better results most of the time.
