Yes. The T1 mats that increase your chances can't be used in T2/T3 so no point in holding onto the bound ones, at least. You can sell unbound if you want tho.

Yeah. Chaos gates drop secret maps, you go to the place marked and open a secret dungeon and then kill a little miniboss and it drops stuff. Most people do them in groups - try to find 3 other people with the same rarity/tier of map and run all 4 together the maximize mats.

Depends on what you want, but for power increases runes and skill points are pretty useful, so anything that yields those or yields collectibles for those is worth focusing on.

Depends. Some sidequests are roster some are not. You don't have to do anything you don't want though, but you might miss out on exp/engraving books/mats etc.

You can trade player to player but that's not how maps work, and the map is untradable. You look for other people with ilvl 330 orange maps, and run the maps, and the rewards for doing the maps are unbound/sellable things. Way easier than trying to carry someone.

Think of it as a energy bar like in mobile games , every 10mins or so you regain some and so on. The higher node you gather the more essence it will take , if you don’t have life essence you can’t keep gathering

I'm a little fuzzy on exact numbers but each gather uses up some amount of life essence. Archeology uses a lot, fishing a little. You regenerate a small amount every 15(?) Minutes for a total of around 5k per day. You can bank 10k total with that being expanded slightly as you play.
