It doesn’t really matter from what I’ve seen. Just pick whatever. Some quests do require a certain threshold of things like charisma or courage to be met. But it will be obvious when it does. Just pick whatever dialogue.

Most of the time it's just an actual recommended gear score. If you're very far below the req level, you'll deal no damage to the boss(s) or if you're somewhat close, you'll deal damage but some attacks will still be blocked. An example would be the T3 Abyssal, you can complete it with a lower gear score like 1330, however some attacks will be blocked and you'll take increased damage but that doesn't prevent you from completing it.

Yeah pretty much. You use honing to upgrade the level of your gear, and if you get better armour from like abyss dungeons you can transfer the levels to that armour

Yeah if there's none there you can always arrange your own party, that fight is a lot easier with 1 support mainly for the last mechanic which is the light mark to avoid death for the marked player and others are DPS.

Check your quest log under completed and track down your last quest tagged with [Journey]. The 2nd Awakening quest starts with a weird letter from Rohendel that continues on Shushire, read the last quest you did carefully so you know where the next area is.
