You can press esc and go to quest journal and find the quest there, just tick the box to make the quest show again, unless u abandoned it, then you have to go back and accept it again

Feel like it's not a question whether it's better or not as it depends on content. For example, in ghost ship u won't survive going an igniter build because u need the extra dashes from reflux to avoid insta death. It's situational for class engravings

well the proper way to think of it is that each tier is a fresh start. by the time you get to tier one if you have been playing both your main and an alt you will know which one you want and then there is a way to switch mains at that level. level your main to 600 and then do the tower on your main and funnel all the mats to the alt that you want to be your main. just dont stress there is a way to do it
