I think the schedule is there only for actual rewards. The island spawns and you can do the quests, but you won't get the rewards.

I think that the islands that are on the schedule appear at their time, but you can only get 1 reward in total per day. So you can basically choose one island and try to get that reward and that's it for the day.

Usually t1 islands are enough to get you to 560-580. Once that happens you need to just be patient.
You can get more honing materials from....

• Guild Blood Sylmael turn-ins
• Merchant Ships (Outside Continent Docks)
• ALTs feeding non-bound materials to your main
• Dailies / Weeklies

His sand pools chase you and if the teams all melee they chase into melee then he turns and does a big cone that covers the sand pools so you have to dash out of them and hten he casts his wipe mechanic so you have to use a dash again to get back into the pools in a second or pop dead.
