your main character is whichever character you play or focus on the most. its not an official title. alt characters can exist to get extra materials from dailies and put them in your roster storage for that "main" to use

check what each ability does, buffs dont stack, they replace eachother, so if you have 2 abilities that shield for 8 seconds, only 1 can be active, the other gets replaced and thus wasted
use your dps abilities whenever they are up and whenever its safe to do so, like immediately after or while the guarian is using an attack that wont hit you
