weekly quests are generally more time consuming then daily quests usually take multiple runs, in this case you can only get 2 / 6 a day because thats the limit of guardian souls you can get

I'm lvl 50 Gunlancer and have done multiple story dungeons always in "Hard" mode. It always shows an upgraded Gunlance weapon (Epic level) as the guaranteed loot, but they never drop at the end of the dungeone. I've been stuck with the same gunlance forever now, since the upgrades never drop. Are they not actually guaranteed? I just did Vedantier on hard and didn't get an Epic weapon.

Some classes are not as good as others. If you want top tier PvE melee dps, you can't go wrong with the Beserker. If you want to do a lot of PvP as well, I would suggest Deathblade. Not sure about the Gunner classes, so maybe someone else can comment here.

Knowledge transfer does not take you up all the way up there. You have to use the character you intend to use the knowledge transfer on and take them to the island with the requisite ilevel, the knowledge transfer is only for the main quest skip.
