Some quests give the engraving recipes - some are class exclusive, make sure to look for Mayhem on all of those engraving recipe rewards - you need to consume 20 green ones first, and then you can do blue ones for that

For first level, you need 5 nodes, so if those engravings you have are just the first level (20 green books) they only have 3 nodes active and you need 2 more from accessories to get it active
