What I'm most worried about is creating a character on a server that gets locked ASAP.

As far as we know, and just based on how Lost Ark works in general, once you pick a server thats the server those things are claimable on. Lost Ark uses a lot of "server wide" things, that others might be more accustomed to "account wide".

For instance, anything "server wide" that you unlock on a character like pets, mounts, and even gameplay affecting things like Skill Points and Engravings are all bound to your server. So anything like that which you have unlocked on Azena, for instance, is not accessible to you on Regulus.

Pull up the Dismantle window and see if you can dismantle it, I believe thats how you get the materials from it that you can actually use.

Hey everyone, I have read several places that unranked PvP queue will not be cross-server to other servers within the same region, but that ranked PvP will be. My friends and I dont want to accidentally choose a low pop server and have a small PvP queue for unranked. Can anyone explain how it works?

its Unranked Arena Premades (queue as party, this is cross server in KR), i believe unranked pvp matchmaking is still cross server. its just custom games that isnt, or that you cant queue as a party, not too sure on that part

You don't HAVE to make alts. And any alts you do easily get mats to the very minimum get to i340 by just doing Shushire to unlock Vern abyss dungeon. I expect my main to enter T2 in just 5-6 days so my alts can't fuel my main at that point anyway if I have even made any alts at that point.

Alts still have lots of value outside funneling materials to your main though. Mainly working on Una's Tasks that aren't material rewards

From personal experience with a similar game, it’s recommended to have alts because it means you would be able to obtain more materials from weekly bosses. One character doing weekly every week could only progress you so far

The time increases with ilvl because you unlock more content. The timeframes I gave are for T1. There is also lots of timed content you want to be doing that adds time like Chaos Gate, Adventure Island(s), Voyage co-op and more stuff like doing regular island etc etc

The time increase is only for weeklies though, dailies stay the same regardless of tier.
