Dailies and weeklies are typically more tied to ilvl progression, however there are other ways to progress your character outside of the time gated content. You will be doing things like Islands, the Adventure Book, Tower, events that appear ingame, life skills, all to acquire things that are relevant to further progressing your character.

lvl 30 while not a lot, will consume a lot of time from you, time that will not really be worth (since you are not going to play in RU eventually). Getting one class to 50 is around 15-20 hours average, you may as well test if you like it on release.

Alts are useful too, so if you eventually end up with prefering another class you can always change for it.

I am a skipper, I dont care about the story in this game. But even considering story skipping you may choose to do collectibles (etc) and enjoy the game in a slower pace, in the long run you will not be that far from most players even if you dont rush

Rushing to 50 on the first day won't be that huge of a benefit. Sure it will give you the chance to possibly hit T2 stuff sooner but otherwise people are still going to be hit by daily gates and initially the benefit to rushing was if we were only getting T1 at launch it would have made a difference to get to 50 before the very first daily reset of the server. This isn't the case anymore.

Many people will still bull rush it because they want to, but it isn't a requirement. This is a PvE game, GvG isn't even going to be enabled for a month anyway and Arena PvP is equalized anyway so any "ahead in gear" someone might get doesn't have any affect on you really. FOMO might be a thing for some people but all I can say is try not to feel that way, you're not going to miss out on anything.

No, the items can be used on any character, but only once.

And only on one of the 15 starter classes (for skins) so you can't wait for another class to release

Is there a significant difference in speed between leveling solo vs leveling in a group or is it very negligable?

The only difference is you'll be slower because you have to wait for others if you are grouped because there is a bunch of forced solo content that is instanced

Also if you are new player that hasn't played before you wouldn't really be able to speed in the sense as veterans because we already know how to perform every single quest without even reading and we know exactly what skills to level etc without having to look anything up and just generally be effective. In the end it barely matters anyway so focus on enjoying yourself

To an extent yes, but it's also nice to be able to take breaks whenever you want by leveling solo and not feeling obligated to stick to someone elses schedule
