but it isn't optimal to do the easy ones just cause they're easy.

a lot of una's task give gold/etc. after you complete them enough times as a "payout" reward.

i'm certain there are lists of the best una's to complete early out there, i don't know one at the top of my head though.

No, you will get chests that will contain the avatars and battle items, you can trade these chests around your characters but once you open them the items will become bound to that character. Apart from the gold founder's avatar as that is a class avatar which means all advance classes under the main class it is unlocked on can wear it, i.e. if I open it on a paladin I can transfer to a zerker but not to a striker

Mount you can only get one so you have to pick the colour you want, pet you pick which colour if you stack founder's packs you can have all 3 colours, plat's founder avatar are sub class specific and you have to pick one, founder's northern lawbreaker avatar will probably have colour options and you will have to pick one, you can get 2 of them if you stack the gold and plat pack

Is having a "main" super important in lost ark? Ive been seeing very mixed advice. Some saying to just play everything and others saying that switching mains often is very bad and stuff. Also what exactly does maining mean in this game? I don't feel fond of having to really choose a "main"

after t3 (which we start with) you will want a main. Main means the person you spend the most time and resources on. luckily we are at the part of tier 3 where swapping mains isnt that expensive as i understand it

but you play your alts a ton for dailies, and if they are geared enough even raids/other fun content

you'll progress naturally anyway, so no need to worry about it. It's even fine to push 2 mains at the same time if you got the time and commitment to it

Boosts are a paid service and it depends on how far you want to boost the character to, the cost of the boost depends on how far you want to bring your character up which the base option being lvl 50 at north vern, all the way to papunika and ilvl 1302 gear (don't expect this one to come for a while)

The boost is just it puts your character at level 50 if it isn't already. There are also different "levels" of the boost. They are more similar to like "story skip" as well, if you play FFXIV this may be more familiar to you.

Each one will put you past certain story bits. So for example the 302 ilvl boost will put you past the initial 10-50 leveling experience and give you 302 ilvl gear, then there are ones for each subsequent story part in the game, each with their own corresponding ilvl that it will put you at as well.

Again, they won't be at launch. They will inevitably be in though.

It depends on where your main is. You can continue to bring the alt up a bit which may be ideal as it can start helping your main more as you shift to another alt. If your main is at a good stopping point, depending on what our progression specifically looks like, then you can just fully commit to getting all your alts up to where you need them.
