@jovial bobcat If you have any questions you can ask here. You're asking as a point where the progression events just ended and there will be another set starting in June. To reach where you were in 2022? no time as all but thats because youre 4 years behind. To reach real endgame, with events immediately/a couple weeks. Without events, a month or two to grind story and hone the end of tier 3. Most of the regular grind has been removed and you dont hone until 1580. There are solo raids to do and half as many dailies to manage as there were in 2022. You cant funnel mats in chaos dungeon like you used to so alts arnt mandatory Its a WAY easier game to play but the only drawback rn is no progression events

and artist might be especially hard since you'll be soloing up to and including 1680

on a weak roster with no books and no good gear

I'd think carefully about what kind of roster you want to build tho

and if you're playing a class that struggles to solo raids quickly it'll be annoying to do slow ass solos each week

If you go to another server they will be kinda useless there unless you transfer, and to transfer you prob need to use auction house, which will cost you gold, which you wont have for a while

you can play what you already have, that's fine, when the next powerpass drops you can boost one of those, or cheaply buy additional character slots, or if you would rather not do that you could delete one or more characters to make room for others

you do NOT need alts, you NEVER needed alts

you can enjoy the game with 1 char alone, more so than ever, as most funneling got killed, only gold if anything but you gotta invest to get returns

unless alts stay as real ALTS and you dont get them to your main's item level

no second main or 6 mains

if you want to play alts play them, for fun, why not, but dont feel forced to have 28534957uoqjjngsa98 chars to "keep up"

best way to cheaply raise alts is to just powerpass a different character every time one comes around

so, just find a class you enjoyed or may enjoy from all the new ones we got which are a lot and do story slowly, do raids when they unlock, run around the world etc

Erm, for playstyle, I tend to enjoy more agile characters. I don't like slow animations. I wouldn't mind playing a support based character, but I would rather not play a long range mage
