It depends on the frequency of your taps. If you plan to do like one tap per week, then sure, 1 rested chaos per week is fine. But say you get a lot of bound gold from paradise in a certain week, you may dry up your reserves quite fast.

The back attack thing gives you the back attack bonus, but will not benefit stuff like ambush master. For the purposes of solo raiding, you can swap ambush master to something like stabilized status or cursed doll. Its good to get into the habit of back attacking, but it does kinda suck in solos.
Idk about all gold pile values, but I know they raised the 200k pile to 1680+ kurzan, and there is a 300k in 1730 content.

Normal doesn’t have 2-2 or 2-3. Most reclears nowadays kill before desert even. That said, it’s a step up in difficulty compared to a4.

hii, returning player from 2022 here. is lost ark worth coming back to casually? not really interested in endgame, mostly just wanna do the story and hit lv50, then probably switch classes and repeat hahaha.
i used to play bard and liked it a lot, but how’s solo play for supports nowadays? also kinda interested in the newer specialist classes too

Solo/dps supports are comparing to the past much better. basically they work.
But
They need to have endgame skiltree to unlock what makes them work
like two months ago i came back after break that happened at brel release, and i was doing only one raid with party yet ( trying to learn second and third soon{got too late this week}).
Early endgame has solo modes and everything, so if you are not chasing end of the endgame, there's a lot casual stuff to do to slowly get further

Story progression is significantly improved in that up until later T3, you get gear upgrades by completing story rather than having to hone and gather raid materials for crafting new sets (~ilvl 1580). You'll still need to hone up to 1620 to transfer to 1640 to enter T4, which be a bit of a doozy unless you have a T4 character supporting it. We have a 1640 pass (start of T4) expiring tomorrow, so up to you if that's something you'd be interested in (though afaik it will auto complete some roster quests). Solo raids for supports are fairly good since they can select a support specific dmg buff, but they will require a dmg build for raids.

If you're mostly interested in doing the story, then rinse & repeat, any class can work. Even supports. The story will take you pass level 50 most likely since they've added in more levels and more story.

Engraving books can be obtained various ways through many various NPC exchanges, event shops & event handouts
The Arkesia Tour will have you complete a number of simple quests and reward you with a large amount of horizontal & collectable completion including more skill points & addition skill runes to help your build.
If a Mokoko Express is ongoing, activate it from an icon beside your minimap. It will provide free items to help with the process above as well as provide things like honing support to make progression easer. There is only 1 Mokoko Express per region so choose your character carefully!
