So whether or not you choose to grind out the gem, or just embrace welfare payouts from paradise/growth shop is up to you. But it is still an option

Idk about deathblade for a returning player with little time to play, unless you like the vibes and are primarily gonna be a solo raider then feel free to do whatever. Agreed reaper feels the most ninja/assassiny. Very high apm and very high mobility, though sometimes the difficulty is in controlling all of your mobility. At least moderately difficult on one spec, very difficult on the other.

I wouldn't say db is one of the easier options here, and tbh I found my db pretty frustrating to play solo since if you get your soul abs or void interrupted or miss due to boss phasing you gotta figure out how to recover or just sit around. You're gonna have aggro all the time. And surge is...surge.
Hunger reaper is very busy with high apm and figuring out movement, but it doesn't feel as bad when you miss an ability. You got more abilities coming up and it doesn't hurt your rotation.

My main is 1750 with 4.8k CP missing 10 KBW books to full and with full8s+2 10s (still no 9/7 after around 1.5k stones eks dee)
All my alts are 1710 and they lack the ah from 21-40. This means 1.5m gold per char
They lack the abidos too, each alt has around 4k abidos, some even less and its around 12k abidos.

Also I've opened like what? +150 engravings from hell at seperate times and dont get any books, or only get books that I already have full.
All my chars have only 4k abidos (or less) and I run paradise every single week, i just rarely see abidos. Everytime i see, i take.

I run 4 slingers, 1 arcana (waiting for another pp to do another arcana and finish 6 gold earners). In the meantime i fill the 6th slot with a random 1680 of mine that i dont want to push for boudn gold. I do have another roster with 2 arcanas and 1 aeromancer (all 1710).
But yeah to raise my CP on my main its tough, because I need higher gems, 9/7 stone, finishing KBW and higher Serca Weap (currently at 20, but i wont buy any red stones for the current ridiculous price).
I had to pug Nightmare Serca week1 cause I was at 4.1k CP and I got gatekept like hell (managed to clear in w1 tho) but yeah, its making it impossible to find a static being lower CP than expected at a raid release.
