- Use Tour rewards (skill points & runes) to improve on your class build
- Collect & Read Engraving books (20 Yellow Legendary books x5 engravings)
Engraving books can be obtained various ways through many various NPC exchanges, event shops & event handouts
The Arkesia Tour will have you complete a number of simple quests and reward you with a large amount of horizontal & collectable completion including more skill points & addition skill runes to help your build.
If a Mokoko Express is ongoing, activate it from an icon beside your minimap. It will provide free items to help with the process above as well as provide things like honing support to make progression easer. There is only 1 Mokoko Express per region so choose your character carefully!
Congrats, you now have a functional build to start trying activities like daily Chaos Dungeons, Guardians & weekly Solo Raids.

Yeah, gameplay does kinda slow down on 1 character. If your main is in a solid spot you can consider doing some KT/story and working an alt up to 1640 to start getting paradise rewards.

Astrogems drop from dailies like chaos dungeon. You can get some from event shops, hell rewards. You can exchange for 10 weekly at the arkgrid npc. You can dismantle them to get dust and exchange the dust for more astrogems hoping to turn greens into blues or purples

If I have a large stack of Green Stability/Corrosions, I typically open a bunch and do 1-3 rolls on them to see if they give me something usable.

Not much of a reason to use green gems. I auto dismantle them. If you really need to push a new character you can open them all and do one tap on the ones that have +3 or +4 in an attribute that you want. If you don't get the tap you want just dismantle it. I auto dismantle 10s. You can fuse a blue 10 with two green 8s but it's not really worth it. None of this is really worth it on alts. 9s are worth cutting because they have boss damage or ally atk enhancement options. Important thing is to get +17 on all your cores. Afterwards you min max your build getting more lines with boss damage/ally atk on them.
