if u plan on doing hm/nightmare serca u can push. if its an alt or you some plan on doing those difficulties u can hold. there was a reddit post i saw on the math that 1730 is ideal stopping point to stop using free taps since the 4.5 tier converted will be slightly higher, only like .6% tho

if your two highest prio gems are dmg gems, but you have a lvl 8 dmg and a lvl 8 cd, you can often find someone in trade chat to trade your cd for a dmg
you dont lose anything in the deal
if you tune the gem to brilliant, you can just turn it into dmg that way, as well
but when you un-tune it it reverts to whatever it was originally
tldr: if the gem you ended up with is what you need, there's no reason to switch it to brilliant "just because"

its an mmo at the end of the day, the map tells you exactly which continent/city to go to, and there are only so many npcs you can verify, it wouldn't have taken more than an hour or so, maybe 2 worse case scenario, to get to them

If you want to keep progressing normally, you just keep doing story and the game will give you gear up to ilvl 1585. At which point you'll need to work on honing (upgrading system). If you aren't really interested in story, there is currently a powerpass that takes you to ilvl 1640 (tier 4), the very start of the current endgame.

Better accessories, continue to work on ark grid. You could try for a better bracelet. Get armor out of blue quality. For the rest of your roster getting to 1680 to move into ancient gear would be a big benefit
