Sup pallies are more active compared to before since you are now incentivized to casting while your identity is up instead of being a campfire. Dps has been changed/buffed recently, its not top tier or anything but its somewhat better. If you give us some gameplay preferences, we could probably help you out a bit better.

Changes to knowledge transfer/story progression in t3 also make it so that a new character wouldn't be that far behind these characters (likely both will be gated by fusions/leaps going to t4 anyway).

Pass = saves hundreds of hours of quests, then another bunch for Arkesia tour, so yes, because a lot of people don't care about any story at all, but whoever wants to read it still can, it got much easier up to a point (literally hone free to 1585), getting to 1620 takes a bit, but it's nowhere close to what it was before, you needed a whole godfucking month to even get your full akkan armor set

And 2-3 weeks for relic/brel (low ancient)

And if you use the pass to funnel your first manual char you will miss out on a lot of one time rosterwide quests

I really love this game's characters and combat, but I feel like there's a lot of especially boring grinding. It sometimes feels like it would have been better off with just a DIablo like structure. I was originally going to stick it out but that story grind was brutal.
