Between breaker and gunlancer, bk breaker has the higher dmg of the omnidirectional builds (though it may need ark grid to really take off - a late game progression system), and blue lance leans more towards utility with relatively low dps. Though if you're okay with directional, red lance is in a good spot currently. Regarding desirability, gunlance tends to be welcome in most groups but I'd recommend picking something you'd enjoy over this alone, especially since balance can change with patches.

Yeah its worth it, you can play with off meta engravings for a long time and they are not massively behind the top engravings anyway, and sometimes (in solo at least) can be even better than what the guides recommend for the bis.

I dont know exactly what engravings GK uses, but if you can make good use of barricade, stabilize status, master brawler like gunlancer and destro can then by all means you should get them.

Got some questions.. probably going to be long. Thanks/sorry in advance.

Some context:
I played the game for ~150 hours in the first months when launched in SA, so I barely remember anything. I got completely overwhelmed when I logged into my old character (used the powerpass there) so decided to create a new one and do some main quests to get reintroduced slowly to the game again.

And I'm having a great time, I actually enjoy questing. But.. also want to do it in a smart way given I don't have that much free time to play.

So, questions:
#1 what content should I be doing in my main character while I'm questing in this new one that I would regret not "progressing" in this meantime? Chaos dungeon and raids? Should I be able to do it solo? I was surge deathblade, going remaining energy now. Ngl don't even remember how to open a chaos dungeon

#2 after using the powerpass, all the main story related to the ark and the regions is complete with all their rewards? Can I do the old quests and the old content in my main character or given the powerpass used it's already done and I would need to do in my new character?

#3 do you have any idea about how much hours would it take to complete the main ark story + main quests related to the regions? Thinking if it's a good idea to keep questing in this new character or just keeping the quests on my main one from where I stopped

having your main be deathblade is certainly an interesting choice (for a newer player)

#1 i would say gold raids and your daily dungeon/guardian raid, as well as the Chaos Gate and World boss on the days they are up.
If one of your characters is participating in the express event currently on I would try to get that completed

2# You cant do main-story after powerpass as it completes it for the most part you are correct, you can certainly do all on the alt at your leisure though

3# Realistically if you're not shiftG'ing everything and focused on enjoying the content, absorbing the story etc its gonna take you 50~ hours but i pulled this number more or less out of my ass so take this with a pinch of salt

Cutting accessories is just gambling, most people will probably lose on cutting them. Hell accessories cost silver to cut but are bound. Depending on your silver stash it can be eat a lot of silver.
