So, imo, if u have a bunch of char-bound stone selectors from hell, then u should better use them with Grudge + smth critical to this char (like Grudge + All-out Attack for my igniter sorc), instead of Grudge + Adrenaline

But if u have some tradeable stones with Grudge + Adrenaline, then they are worth to cut. Don't just scrap them, as I think.

Most cores are gonna come from a4/kazeros (group only), save for some event cores. You'll need to cut a chunk of astrogems to be able to use cores, so it won't be a quick power spike or anything.

I always recommend using the boosts. Powerpass is a story skip & Express event gives progression support later into endgame. Doing so skips 50+ hours of boring story that doesn't teach anything about the game other than navigating. These events offer a HUGE help & are limited. Its a lot to pass up on.
I like to recommend a 2nd char to play the story if thats what you want to do. If endgame gets overwhelming you can play the story. If the story is boring and tedious you can play your endgame char
