Hello I’m hoping this is the right chat for this but I’ve never played lost ark before. I used to have friends who did and I’d watch. The combat looked really fun but had challenging aspects to it. I heard things about it all needing to be bussing to get to that content at end game or else you’d be under geared or that’s what it sounded like. I was just wondering if the game is accessible to new players at this point? Is it too much of a time sink/whale heavy game to get into now? The clown raids I saw looked so cool, the classes looked fun, and the cosmetics were dope. So I’m super interested but just wondering if its barrier to entry is friendly to beginners or not. if u want to just play, just play then. Bussing is well still here, and no NO1 require to do them to be high ilvl zone or Combat Power now (sure helps), start with PowerPass and into Express will give u freeeee ride to any latest raids (bunch of them u can do solo mode up to 1680)

its more newbie friendly to reach higher content than before in recent patchs if u were to start from 0

think shortest play is ~2hr for several people, its mmorpg anyway, so its expected everyone to be at different places, dont listen to others who says u gotta spend many hours in a day

A final advice. You might want to both play the story and use the express event to catch up. Use 2 characters for this then.

One to play the story and one to use the power pass so you can progress the express event into end game.

If you dgaf about story then just use one.

I wanna say with the event gold included I spent an extra like 3-400k on my 1640-1700 event character

Just honing not really counting karma and stuff

I think the biggest advantage a returning player could have is a roster thats close to current story

Getting to 1585 to take advantage of Paradise is a pretty easy way to establish a roster imo

Yeah just powerpass a character to 1640 with the event pass and start on the event challenges

Not really worth spending any resources on a 1250 imo if that’s your highest ilvl

If that’s the char you wanna run just powerpass that one

Valk has the option for dps and heals

Artist needs grid for their dps loadout because holy moly is it slow boring nd weak without it

Valks the only support that’s consistently ran as a dps and support main 50/50

The rest are very much support focused

All classes clear solo content though

The event challenge we have right now is all solo

It’s up to you though, bard is very rewarding to master, but from what I’ve heard one of the hardest supports to play

I love a good bard

But I hate a bad bard
