for starters you cut only willpower 8 astrogems since youre going for activation. you cut for red and yellow. 5 willpower and 5 order points is your goal. red = base willpower (8) and then the points you cut on gem subtract from that. So if you get 5 red while processing, it subtracts 5 from the 8 leaving you with 3 points it takes to put in the core. Yellow = the points toward activating the nodes on the core. you want the highest possible red and yellow together on an astrogem to consider it good

Cards are the same, but through events they give new players a maxed out holy dps/support set. There are some new card sets used for specific bosses, but like before that'll be a long term progression. Some classes have changed a bit, igniter is still spec. Reflux is generally crit now. Part of it is integrating stuff like armor sets (ex. nightmare) into the ark passive system, where some of them have some changes. Yeah you replace your relic armor with ancient when you can. But you can also just keep honing relic for now, the honing level transfers over to your new gear.
