Hellfire is hit master which makes it a little easier to play. Its a little stronger because of that too, not worrying about playing as a positional character

Altars can +/- level, or change to fire/frost. Fire/frost kill on even/odd floor (forgot which is which). Generally speaking, fire/frost keys have higher loot value compared to normal hell, so its okay to back out and take rewards after you die/have 1 life left. Considering stuff like relic engraving books (bound), fire/frost keys generally are considered good value.

Powerpass and the challenge express meant to pair with it have the same start/end dates, though the challenge express is meant to be completed over time and not last minute. Up to you whether you want to do story or powerpass. The most recent patch made normal progression more viable and speeds up the gearing process. That said, the story does not do much in terms of teaching you about late game systems/real raiding combat, so I personally wouldn't do story unless you are a lore enjoyer. If you want story or a more casual progression, power to you. But be aware that it will pretty much only be solo content until you start to hit where the pass would have taken you. If you powerpass you'll get a lot of stuff thrown at you, so feel free to ask questions here.

Depends on your prefered playstyle. Hellfire is hitmaster/transform, so hit from any direction, build meter, buff abilities. Dreadful roar is front attacking, so more superarmor/push immunity and a bit tankier. You can use this interface to swap for 30 days, but you can pretty easily do the swap yourself without it. This is just the game's "recommended build". Though generally community guides are better.

Old engraving system is gone. No more accessory shenanigans. You get all base engravings unlocked, can improve through books. Class engraving is build into ark passive under enlightenment tree. Relic books are nice to have, but not mandatory.

Like full relic grudge will give me 3% more boss dmg, nice but not necessary to make a build like the old days.

If you do the express event, it'll give you legendary books to get up to baseline.

Classes like destroyer are front attacking, meaning they try to hit the front end of the boss as much as possible. Bosses tend to move around, so positional classes aren't for everyone. Preference wise, is stuff like this a deal breaker?

there's not really a flashy magic class in lost ark. Reaper I would say is probably up your ally if you're like for something kinda like ninja. Hunger is fast and kinda high apm. Lunar is the burst version which needs a little bit more thoughts into your action since you get punished missing skills or getting knocked out of skills

Kurzan front and guardian raids as a form of daily, can be done rested at some cost to efficiency. Field bosses/chaos gates/special islands as a form of rotating timed daily. Most important to do would probably be your 3 highest level gold earning raids and getting started on paradise (run a crucible) to start stacking hell keys. Challenge express is important to character progression if you decide you want to main the guardian knight.

If you just want to squeeze in a little bit of efficiency before hopping over to story progression (assuming no honing/challenge express use), it would be solo thaemine, echidna (solo vs group), behemoth (group). Doing at least 1 crucible in paradise is a lot of value going forward for little effort.

3rd is a shielding orb, 2nd is a good dps orb. What they do is pinned in this channel. DPS orbs scale of paradise power so they start off extremely weak. Just take the 3rd for now & you get them all eventually anywway
